  • AWD Textile Design

A.W.D. Textile Designs is a Portland, Maine based textile design brand founded by artist Anysa Williamson Denby. What began in a college print studio through a love of screenprinting, bold color, and the functionality of bags has grown into a handmade textile brand centered around art and everyday use. Each piece begins as an original hand-drawn design that is transformed through in-house screen printing and sewn into functional goods and accessories. Rooted in craftsmanship and expressive design, the work highlights the handmade process behind each piece while bringing creativity into daily life.

Alongside the textile brand, Anysa also owns A.W.D. Studio & Shop, a creative retail and workshop space in Portland featuring locally made work from over 45 Maine artists and makers. The shop also functions as an active working studio, where Anysa sews and produces her own products while running the space. In addition to retail, the studio hosts artist-led workshops, classes, and community events that invite people into the creative process and support Portland’s local arts community.

  • Elise Marie Designs

Rooted in creativity and community, my journey began on a small island where I spent my childhood collecting treasures from my parents’ boatyard — rope, shells, bits of wire — and transforming them into my earliest jewelry pieces. That same spirit of curiosity and craftsmanship continues to inspire everything I do today.

After earning my degree in Textiles, Merchandising & Design from the University of Rhode Island, I made my way to Portland, Maine, building my business through hundreds of local shows, pop-ups, and creative collaborations with small shops and artisans.

In 2018, I opened my own storefront — a space devoted to connection, creativity, and supporting fellow female-owned small businesses. That experience shaped my vision: to create meaningful jewelry and shared experiences that connect people through art, intention, and energy.

Today, my studio in Windham, Maine serves as both a jewelry design space and a creative classroom — hosting workshops, private events, and community gatherings. In addition to teaching from my studio, I also lead classes through local adult education programs and collaborate with breweries, wine bars, art studios, boutiques, retreats, and other creative spaces that share a passion for inspiration and connection.

From wire-wrapped jewelry to personalized talisman pieces and group workshops, each experience invites participants to explore self-expression, mindfulness, and joy through hands-on creation.

Every workshop and design is infused with a spiritual touch — a belief that objects can hold meaning, memories, and positive energy. Through my classes and community collaborations, I aim to give back, uplift others, and help people tap into their creative flow in an open, supportive, and inspiring environment.

If you’re curious about learning something new or want to create alongside a welcoming community, I’d love for you to join an upcoming workshop — no experience needed, just an open heart and creative spirit.
